About Us

Work in the Nutrition and Metabolic Epigenetics Group focuses on the interplay between nutrition, metabolism and epigenetics in human patients, animal models and in vitro cell systems. We are an interdisciplinary laboratory and draw from our expertise as biochemists, metabolic scientists, stem cell biologists and epigeneticists and combine state-of-the-art cell biology, single-cell methodology and novel sequencing techniques with genome-wide computational and bioinformatic analysis to gain mechanistic insights into epigenetic regulation, stability and dynamics during development, chronic metabolic diseases or ageing. We hope that our insights will contribute to the development of novel strategies to counter obesity and metabolic diseases and help to develop novel regenerative medicine applications.
